Blowout preventers serve as well control devices used to prevent the uncontrolled release of wellbore fluids during coiled tubing operations. Each well control stack consists of a series of ram-type preventers designed to ensure pressure integrity and safety during coiled tubing operations. The various RAM configurations include:
- Blind RAM (to seal the BOP bore in the event of a well control emergency)
- Shear RAM (shear the coiled tubing)
- Slip RAM (grabs and holds the coiled tubing)
- Tubing RAM (seals around the coiled tubing)
Trican offers a variety of RAM style BOPs to fit our customer’s well control requirements.
Features
- Dual, triple or quadruple RAM BOPs are available
